So this wasn't the grand re-inaugural post I was imagining after my extended hiatus from blogging, but anyone who used to read my blog (hello, three people!) knows that nothing about what I post is particularly grand, in the traditional sense of the word.
So I've had the song "Finally" by Ce Ce Peniston stuck in my head for a few weeks now. I think those in the know call this an earworm. Leaving work on Friday, buying something on sale at the grocery store, after eating dinner--it'll just sneak in there anytime I'm feeling vaguely triumphant. And the strangest thing is that I don't think I've heard this song in... at least a couple of years. I don't know how it happened, but I'll be honest: I think it's my favorite song I've ever had stuck in my head. Sorry haters, but I kinda love this song, ever since I first heard it on VH1's top 100 one-hit wonders. (Update: I did some fact-checking, because that's the kind of journalistic integrity I have for this blog, and I discovered that "Finally" WASN'T ON VH1's top 100 one-hit wonders! It might have been on one of their spin-off shows... I went through a phase where I watched a ton of VH1's lists. I wonder which one it was on... Hmmm.)
